Our design team and I worked on a project to renovate a Quonset hut. As part of this project, I designed two different spaces, one of which was a coffee shop. The owner had a specific vision for the coffee shop, wanting an industrial style. To achieve this, I created two floors and added more seating upstairs to increase capacity. Because the space was small, I custom-designed the fixtures and furniture. I used materials like steel, brick, warm-toned wood, glass, and industrial-style pendant lights. To make the coffee shop cozy, fresh, and impressive, I added soft seating on the second floor and replaced the front wall with a curtain wall to increase inside lighting. My role was to come up with an initial design concept for the coffee shop, and I'm proud of what we achieved.
